Skilled Nursing Care   

Our Skilled Nursing Care services are provided by licensed professionals and tailored to meet your post-surgical needs with precision and compassion. Services include:

• Comprehensive monitoring of vital signs, surgical incisions, drains, swelling, and intake/output
   
• Adherence to your surgeon’s specific aftercare plan
   
• Patient education and hands-on demonstrations to promote confident, informed healing
   
• Clear answers to your questions regarding recovery progress, nutritional guidance, and physician instructions
   
• Medication reminders and prescription pick-up assistance
   
• Support with the self-administration of medication
   
• Unlimited telephone access for ongoing guidance and reassurance
   
• Caregiver education and training for continued support during non-service hours
   
• Virtual nurse visits available by appointment (following an initial in-person consultation)
   
• Support during unexpected events or concerns during the recovery process*
   

*Emergency event support is subject to availability and guided by medical necessity.

Personal Care Services 

Our Personal Care Aide services are designed to provide attentive, hands-on support during your immediate recovery period. Care is delivered by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) and includes:

• Overnight monitoring on your first night post-surgery to ensure comfort and safety
   
• One complimentary, nutritious breakfast to support early healing
   
• Assistance with ambulation, bed baths/showers, compression garment changes, and self-administration of medication
   
• Support with personal hygiene and grooming needs
   
• Guidance in the use of an IPC (Intermittent Pneumatic Compression) device** and Incentive Spirometer
   
• Light housekeeping and maintenance of a clean, serene recovery suite
   
• Observation and prompt reporting of any changes in your condition to the supervising nurse
   

**IPC use is based on your surgeon’s recommendations and may not be applicable to all procedures.

Emergency Event Support

In the rare event of a medical emergency, our team is prepared to act swiftly and responsibly. Emergency support includes:

• Contacting emergency medical services (911)
   
• Notifying your designated emergency contact
   
• Accompanying you to the emergency room if necessary
   
• Communicating your condition and updates to your surgeon and/or medical team
   
• A follow-up virtual nurse visit upon request to review your status and provide continued support

IV hydration therapy is a powerful way to support your body’s recovery from the inside out. This service delivers fluids, electrolytes, and essential vitamins directly into your bloodstream, helping to quickly restore hydration, reduce fatigue, and promote cellular healing after surgery.

IV hydration is especially beneficial during the post-op phase when your body is under stress, nutrient absorption may be limited, and hydration needs are elevated.

IV hydration therapy provided by Better Than Ever is a wellness service. It does not replace or include the administration of prescribed medications, antibiotics, or narcotics. Any prescribed IV therapy must be managed by your surgeon or primary healthcare provider.

At Better Than Ever, we understand that comfort, safety, and privacy are essential — especially on the day of your surgery. That’s why we offer private, non-rideshare transportation exclusively for our clients, ensuring you’re cared for from start to finish.

Your personal driver is not a third-party service, but a trusted member of our recovery team, using our own dedicated vehicle to provide discreet, reliable transport.

• Pick-up and drop-off at your surgical facility on the day of your procedure
   
• Private transport to your recovery suite following surgery
   
• Safe return home once your stay has been completed
   

This service is included with all overnight and extended-stay recovery packages, and is designed to provide you with peace of mind, professionalism, and privacy — no waiting, no strangers, no stress.

Due to limited space, each client is permitted one guest and may bring one carry-on sized bag and one personal item (such as a purse or small backpack). To ensure comfort and avoid overcrowding, we kindly ask that you refrain from overpacking.
